Superhero mask template
8 original domino masks to color, cut out and wear — in true kids and adult sizes, as line art or ready in color.
Quick answer: pick a mask below, print it at actual size on card stock, color it, cut along the outline and eye holes, then tie elastic through the two side holes. Every design is free in kids (6.25 in) and adult (7.25 in) sizes on US Letter or A4.

How to make a paper superhero mask
- Pick a mask and a size above, then print the PDF at “Actual size” (not “Fit to page”). Each mask prints alone on a landscape page.
- Check the 1-inch line at the bottom of the page with a ruler. If it measures 1 in (2.5 cm), the mask is the right size.
- Color the line-art version with crayons or markers, or print the color version. Card stock (65–110 lb) lasts longest; on plain paper, glue the mask to a cereal box before cutting.
- Cut on the solid outline. To cut the eye holes, fold the mask gently across the middle of each eye, snip a small slit and cut around from there.
- Punch the two small circles at the sides with a hole punch or a pencil tip, then tie on elastic cord or ribbon. About 12 in (30 cm) of elastic fits most kids.
Which size should I print?
The kids mask is 6.25 in (16 cm) wide with the eye holes about 2 in apart, for ages 3 to 10. The teen and adult mask is 7.25 in (18 cm) wide with the eyes about 2.4 in apart. Both fit on US Letter and A4 without scaling. For a toddler, print the kids size at 90%; for a very large face, print the adult size at 110%.

Frequently asked questions
How do you make a superhero mask out of paper?
Print a mask template at actual size, color it, glue it to card stock if you used plain paper, cut out the outline and both eye holes, punch the two side holes and tie on elastic or string. It takes about 15 minutes.
What is a domino mask?
A domino mask is a small mask that covers only the eyes and the area around them, held on with a string or elastic. It is the classic superhero and sidekick mask, and the easiest kind for kids to make and wear.
What size is a kids superhero mask?
About 6.25 in (16 cm) wide for ages 3 to 10, and about 7.25 in (18.5 cm) for teens and adults. Measure across the face from temple to temple if you are unsure.
Are these superhero masks of real characters?
No. All 8 masks are original designs drawn for Linecraft, so they are free to print for home, school and parties. Kids can color them to look like any hero they like.
What paper is best for a printable mask?
Card stock between 65 and 110 lb holds its shape best. Plain printer paper works if you glue it onto thin cardboard (a cereal box) before cutting.
Are the mask templates free?
Yes. Every mask is free to download as a PDF in kids and adult sizes, line art or color, on US Letter or A4, with no sign-up.
