American flag template — printable US flag outline

The US flag in official proportions — 13 stripes, a blue union and 50 stars — as a clean outline to color, paint or cut out.

Printing at the exact size

Each shape is drawn so its widest (or tallest) side is exactly the size you pick. In the print dialog choose “Actual size” or “100%” — not “Fit to page”. Small sizes fill the page with copies; large sizes print one per page. Shapes wider than the paper's printable area (for example an 8-inch circle on A4) print as a left and a right half on two pages: cut the first half along the dashed line, lay it on the dashed line of the second page and tape.

About the flag layout

The template follows the official proportions: the flag is 1.9 times as wide as it is tall, the union (the blue field) covers the top seven stripes, and the 50 stars sit in nine rows that alternate between six and five stars. Stripes alternate red and white, starting and ending with red — so the top and bottom stripes are red, seven red and six white in all.
