Fraction chart — printable fraction wall
A fraction wall from one whole down to twelfths, so children can see that 2/4 is the same length as 1/2 and that 1/8 is smaller than 1/6.
How to use a fraction wall
- Compare fractions: the longer bar is the bigger fraction (1/3 is longer than 1/4).
- Find equivalent fractions: line up a ruler — 1/2 ends exactly where 2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 5/10 and 6/12 end.
- Add fractions with the same denominator by counting bars: 2/8 + 3/8 = 5/8.
